German authorities report growing threat of terrorist attacks by pro-Palestinian radicals

German authorities warn about a growing threat of terrorist attacks by pro-Palestinian radicals in the country, according to Bild.

Following the recent murder of two Israeli embassy staff members in Washington, carried out under the slogan “Free Palestine,” fears have grown in Germany that something similar could happen here.

“Foreigners who commit anti-Semitic crimes should not remain in our country. Hatred of Jews will be resolutely suppressed,” said Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt.

Authorities are talking about an alarming coalition: radical Islamists and left-wing extremists are uniting under Palestinian flags at demonstrations. According to counterintelligence, there are about 100,000 people in Germany with potential links to various forms of extremism, including 450 Hamas supporters.

Saxony's Interior Minister Armin Schuster also warned of a possible “explosive coalition” between left-wing and radical Palestinian activists. According to him, this is reminiscent of “the darkest years of terror in the old Federal Republic.”
