Supporters of terrorist organizations such as Islamic State (IS), Vilayat Khorasan (an IS affiliate), and Al-Qaeda have started actively using artificial intelligence technologies in their propaganda. This was reported by Sergey Zubkov, deputy head of the Anti-Terrorism Center of the CIS member states, at the Anti-Terrorism Forum in Krasnoyarsk.

He noted that due to the intensification of propaganda promoting terrorist narratives on the internet, terrorist threats to the CIS countries have increased. According to Zubkov, the Islamic State - Khorasan Province (ISKP), an organization banned in the CIS countries, is highly active in the information sphere in Afghanistan, which over the past four years has transformed from a regional terrorist group into “an organization with extensive information capabilities, largely due to its approach to using information and telecommunications technologies to its advantage.”

The 19th All-Russian Specialized Forum “Anti-Terror” is being held in Krasnoyarsk on May 22-24. As part of the forum, the All-Russian Practical Conference is discussing issues related to countering the ideology of terrorism.
