A working meeting between Deputy Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Valery Semerikov and Director of the African Union Counter-Terrorism Center (ACSRT) Idris Lallali took place on May 27, 2025, at the CSTO Secretariat.

During the meeting, the Deputy Secretary General of the CSTO informed the representative of the African Union about the main activities of the CSTO and practical measures taken within the framework of the Organization to combat terrorism, counter the illicit trafficking of drugs, illegal migration, and documents regulating this activity.

For his part, the Director of the African Union Counter-Terrorism Center expressed great interest in the practices carried out under the CSTO and shared the African Union's experience in countering security challenges and threats on the African continent.

The participants expressed great interest in cooperation and interaction between the working bodies of the two organizations and agreed to develop partnerships on issues of mutual interest.
