In Khabarovsk, a 50-year-old local resident has been sentenced for financing terrorism and publicly justifying terrorism on the internet, according to the regional investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

According to the indictment, between 2021 and 2023, the convicted man actively supported the ideas of members and the founder of a terrorist organization banned in our country. He posted comments justifying and promoting terrorism in open groups on one of the messaging apps, and transferred funds to the organization.

The investigation notes that the crime was detected through monitoring of open sources, as well as through cooperation with the FSB.
