Nine terrorists were killed in three separate operations in Pakistan's northwestern province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Xinhua news agency reported, citing military sources.

Security forces conducted reconnaissance operations in the areas of Dera Ismail Khan, Tank, and Khyber in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, according to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistani army.

The eliminated terrorists had weapons and ammunition that they had actively used in numerous terrorist attacks in these areas, the statement said.
