US President Donald Trump intends to put an end to the terrorist organization Islamic State in Syria once and for all. This was stated by US Special Representative for Syria Tom Barak on Al Arabiya TV, according to TASS. 

“Trump wants to end IS in Syria once and for all,” he said. According to the US representative, “the US army has completed 99% of its mission to combat IS.” 

Earlier, the US special representative was received at the People's Palace in Damascus by Syrian President Ahmed al-Ashara, who is in charge during the transition period, and Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaybani.
