A man from Central Asia has been convicted in Vladimir for justifying terrorism. This was reported by the press service of the regional department of the Federal Security Service.

According to the investigation, in December 2024, this 40-year-old migrant expressed support for a foreign terrorist organization banned in Russia in a public Telegram chat. 

In January 2025, the man was identified by law enforcement agencies.

The foreign national was detained and a criminal case was opened under Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The court sentenced the man to three years in a general regime colony with deprivation of the right to engage in activities related to the administration of websites using electronic and information and telecommunications networks for a period of two years.
