The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for attacks on fighters of the new Syrian regime for the first time, according to the Telegram channel Directorate 4.

The incidents took place on the Safa plateau in As-Suwayda governorate. Terrorists detonated roadside IEDs on the route of Syrian Armed Forces vehicles. According to propagandists, 11 militants of the new regime, referred to in the IS statement as an “apostate army,” were killed and injured in the explosions.

The Syrian Ministry of Defense confirmed the attacks. According to official data, three militants were killed and several were wounded in the explosions.
