During counterterrorism operations, Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) officers identified and detained a 24-year-old native of Astrakhan. The man, who adhered to radical Islamic ideology, transferred cryptocurrency funds to a citizen of an Asian republic who was involved in the activities of foreign terrorist organizations in Syria.

According to the press service of the FSB's regional office, the investigative unit of the FSB's Astrakhan branch has opened a criminal case against the suspect for aiding terrorist activities. The suspect has pleaded guilty.
