Turkish special services announce arrest of high-ranking Islamic State commander

The operation took place on the Afghan-Pakistani border with the support of Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence. The detainee was identified as Ozgur Altun, better known as Abu Yasser al-Turki. According to Turkish security forces, Altun organized the transfer of jihadists from Europe and Central Asia to Afghanistan and Pakistan and was responsible for plotting terrorist attacks in Turkey and the EU.
