Vladimir Mitrofanov, a resident of the Altai Territory, was sentenced to 9.5 years in a general regime colony for publicly justifying terrorism, inciting to terrorist attacks and spreading terrorist narratives. This was reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the 2nd Eastern District Military Court.

“The court sentenced Mitrofanov for a combination of crimes by partially combining the punishment imposed by the verdict of the 1st Eastern District Military Court on May 5, 2023, to imprisonment in a general regime colony for a term of 9 years and 6 months,” the court said. He was also deprived of the right to engage in activities related to the posting on the Internet for three years.

It is reported that Mitrofanov posted comments on the Internet calling for terrorist attacks and justifying the actions of terrorists. In addition, he posted a message inciting hatred against police officers and insulting them.
