Nine TTP militants eliminated in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province

August 27. At least nine terrorists from a proscribed group were killed during a joint operation in the northwestern Pakistani province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Police officer Bilal Haider told the media that the operation was being carried out over the past three days based on intelligence confirming the presence of terrorists in the Lower Dir district of the province. The officer said that all of the terrorists were members of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) organization and had participated in several attacks, including assaults on security forces and police.
