Sweden to decide on counter-terrorism law as part of deal with Turkey

Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson said that on March 2, the national authorities will take a decision on a new counter-terrorism law as part of the implementation of agreements with Turkey to join NATO. This is reported by the Financial Times.

According to the Swedish prime minister, they are talking about an element of Swedish legislation because of which it was necessary to amend the country's constitution.

On February 1, Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Turkey was not looking favorably on Sweden's application for NATO membership.
