FSB detained five terrorist fundraisers in various regions of Russia

The Federal Security Service of Russia (FSB) detained five fundraisers for the Syrian Hayat Tahrir al-Sham terrorist organization in the course of search operations. The operations were held in Moscow, Kirov and Penza regions, TASS reports.

The Center for Public Relations reported that the detainees followed the instructions of the organization members and transferred money to their accounts. The funds were used to purchase weapons, ammunition and transport. FSB officers confiscated communication equipment, payment instruments and other evidence of the offense. Criminal cases were opened on this basis.
