In one year, 118 terrorist acts planned by young people were prevented in Russia
Since February last year, Russian security services have successfully prevented 118 terrorist crimes that were being prepared by teenagers and young people. This was reported by the National Anti-Terrorism Committee of the Russian Federation.
It is planned to integrate disciplines related to countering extremism and terrorism curricula of into university curricula. These new developments should take effect from the beginning of the next academic year.
As early as September 1, 2023, Order No. 208 of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia “On Amendments to the Federal State Standards of Higher Education” comes into force. The document outlines universal competencies aimed at developing a zero tolerance towards extremism, terrorism and corruption among young people.
