Afghanistan restored about 4,000 pieces of US military equipment

During the year, the security and defense forces of the “Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan” (IEA) received about 4 thousand pieces of military equipment abandoned by the US army and restored by local mechanics. This was shared by the Ministry of Defense of the IEA, reports Ariana News.

The refurbished machinery includes tanks, armored vehicles, military trucks and SUVs. They are being repaired by the ministry's technical teams at two repair facilities, officials said. Now work is underway on thousands of other combat vehicles.

Earlier, the technical teams of the Ministry of Defense of the IEA restored dozens of helicopters and aircraft that were put out of action by the troops of the Western coalition during their hasty exit from Afghanistan. In addition, ministry officials have previously said they will increase the army by 200,000 by the end of this year.
