Tajik border guards fought off the attack of militants who entered from Afghanistan

Two members of foreign terrorist organizations were eliminated while crossing the Tajik-Afghan border. This was reported by Khovar information agency with reference to the border service of the State Committee for National Security of Tajikistan.

“In the morning of April 26 this year, two members of foreign terrorist organizations illegally crossed the state border of Tajikistan and Afghanistan at the guarded section of the 11th border outpost of the Darvaz Border Detachment in the village of Dashti Yazgulom, Vanch district of Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO) in order to commit a terrorist attack in the Republic of Tajikistan,” - the message says.

As a result of a joint anti-terrorist operation by the national law enforcement agencies, the terrorists were eliminated. Two Kalashnikov assault rifles, two foreign-made pistols, eight grenades, 12 magazines with cartridges, 19 packages of explosives, two special communications equipment and two mobile phones belonging to terrorists were seized at the scene,
