Russian Investigative Committee opens criminal case against drone attack on Kremlin

Investigators opened a criminal case after an attempt to strike at the presidential residence in the Kremlin, according to the telegram channel of the Russian Investigative Committee.

“On behalf of the Chairman of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin, a criminal case was initiated under Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Terrorist Attack) in connection with an attempt by the Kiev regime to strike with unmanned aerial vehicles at the Kremlin residence of the President of Russia,” the publication says.

Kyiv, in turn, denies involvement in the attack. According to the Agence France-Presse and Strana.ua, adviser to the head of the President’s Office Mykhailo Podolyak and press secretary of the head of state Serhiy Nikiforov claimed that Ukraine was not involved.
