National Resistance Front fighters eliminated eight Taliban members in Afghanistan

In Afghanistan, fighters of the National Resistance Front eliminated eight Taliban members and more than ten others were injured. The clash occurred the day before in the province of Baghlan.


Pashtun nationalists attempted to capture the anti-Taliban forces, but the guerrillas offered stiff resistance.


The firefight lasted ten hours, and eventually the Taliban had to retreat. The supporters of Ahmad Massoud lost four fighters.
