Missile attack kills three Taliban members in north-eastern Afghanistan
At least three supporters of the radical Taliban movement that seized power in Afghanistan were killed in a rocket attack in north-eastern Kapisa province. This was reported by Hasht-e Subh newspaper, citing local sources.
According to the media, the strike targeted the building of the provincial governor's office in the city of Mahmudraki, the administrative center of Kapisa, on Monday. The attack killed three radical movement members, and four more were injured. There is no information about the head of the local administration.
The Afghanistan Freedom Front (AFF) claimed responsibility for the attack. Representatives of the Taliban have not yet commented on the attack by the resistance forces.
At the moment, there are two largest resistance groups operating in Afghanistan: the National Resistance Front (based in the north and northeast of the country) and the Afghanistan Freedom Front (usually operating in the southern regions, but recently its supporters started to make sorties the north of the country as well).
