Syrian troops thwart attack in Al-Tanf zone

Syrian government troops thwarted an attempt to commit a terrorist attack in the Al-Tanf zone, controlled by the international anti-terrorist coalition. This was stated by Deputy Head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of Warring Parties in Syria Rear Admiral Oleg Gurinov.

“SAR army troops in the area west of Mount Tell al-Tuwayed found a group of militants in three pickup trucks attempting to covertly exit the al-Tanf zone. After the SAR government forces opened fire, the group fled to the area controlled by the coalition in the area of the Sluby valley,” he said.
