Car bomb kills two law enforcement officers in southern Syria

At least two members of the Syrian security service were killed when a bomb planted in their car detonated in the provincial center of Deraa (110 km south of Damascus). This was reported by Al Modon news portal.

According to them, IS militants were involved in the massacre of the security forces.

On May 11, IS militants took two Syrian army soldiers hostage on the highway between Jbaa and Meskhara settlements and then executed the captives.

On May 25, terrorists murdered the secretary of the Arab Socialist Renaissance Party in the village of Bustan el-Ghadir. The party activist was shot dead as he left his house.

IS gangs have recently become active again in the southern provinces of Syria, which were liberated in 2018. According to the news portal, 64 people have died at their hands since January, including 3 women and 2 children. The command of the Syrian Armed Forces sent elite units to the south to conduct an anti-terrorist operation.
