Syrian and Russian troops eliminated 20 militants in southern Syria

The Syrian military, together with a Russian Armed Forces unit, eliminated 20 militants as part of a special operation to eliminate terrorist groups in southern Syria. This was stated at a briefing by the deputy head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of Warring Parties in Syria Rear Admiral Oleg Gurinov.

“As part of a special operation to find, block and eliminate terrorist groups operating in the southern provinces of the SAR, the combined units of the Syrian army, in cooperation with the Russian unit, carried out reconnaissance and search in the northern and northeastern regions of the Belaya desert in Homs governorate,” he said.

Oleg Gurinov added that nine caches of weapons and ammunition were seized, and 30 shelters of terrorist groups were destroyed.
