An accomplice of a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation convicted in Moscow

In Moscow, a court sentenced an accomplice of the Khatiba al-Tawhid wal-Jihad (foreign terrorist organization banned in Russia) R. Igamuratov to 5 years and 6 months in a penal colony, the press service of the Federal Security Service of Russia for Moscow and the Moscow Region reports.

The FSB officers successfully thwarted the activities of the foreigner who, in order to attract recruit new members, published videos on the Odnoklassniki social media promoting terrorism narratives and ideology of Khatiba al-Tawhid wal-Jihad. He was charged under Art. 205.2 "Public calls for terrorist activities."
