Russian aerospace forces liquidate terrorist facilities and 13 militants in Syria

The Russian Aerospace Forces destroyed terrorist facilities in the Idlib de-escalation zone, preventing terrorist attacks on the facilities of the Russian Armed Forces and Syrian government forces. This was announced at a briefing on October 3 by the deputy head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of Warring Parties in Syria Major General Oleg Yegorov.

“The Russian Aerospace Forces destroyed the facilities of the Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist group (banned in the Russian Federation) in the Idlib de-escalation zone. They posed a threat to the security of the military personnel of the Russian forces and Syrian government forces,” Yegorov said.

According to him, the aircraft attacked the underground shelters of illegal armed groups near ​​ Ruaikha and Msibin settlements.

“Thirteen militants were eliminated, including field commanders Abu Yousef Ash-Shami and Khaled al-Yousef (Abu Omar), and 22 members of the terrorist group were seriously injured,” Yegorov said.
