Two terrorists killed in a shootout with police in South Pakistan

Two alleged terrorists were killed in a shootout with police officers in the port city of Karachi in southern Pakistan. This was reported by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of the Pakistani police.

According to the law enforcement officers, based on the intelligence obtained, CTD officers conducted an operation targeting a terrorist hideout in the Gulshan-i-Maymar urban district.

As the operatives entered the suspected terrorists’ hideout, they opened fire. In the ensuing firefight two terrorists were killed and four police officers were wounded, CTD said.

All injured police officers were taken to a local hospital, two of them being in critical condition.

The police seized weapons and explosives from the terrorists, the department added.
