FSB detained accomplices of the Ha'yat Tahrir ash-Sham near Khabarovsk

FSB officers detained accomplices of the Ha’yat Tahrir ash-Sham (designated as a terrorist organization in the Russian Federation) in Komsomolsk-on-Amur in the Khabarovsk Territory, TASS reports citing the Federal Security Service's Center of Official Communications. Gadgets with terrorist and extremist content were confiscated from them. In addition, the security forces found out that the men corresponded with active militants in Syria through social media.

The detainees are natives of the countries of the Central Asian region. The investigative division of the FSB opened criminal cases under Article 205.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Assistance to Terrorist Activities). The detainees were taken into custody.
