Iranian intelligence detains suspects in terrorism and collaboration with Israel

Iranian intelligence services detained members of a “terrorist group” suspected of collaborating with Israel, Tasnim agency reported.

According to the media, the group members planned to commit a series of terrorist attacks in the provinces of Isfahan, Kerman, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, as well as Kurdistan and Mazandaran province, where they were detained. Their actions were coordinated through centers located in Denmark and the Netherlands, and, according to the intelligence of the Islamic Republic, they were financially supported by Israel.

At the time of arrest, at least 43 remote-controlled explosive devices were seized, as well as many cold weapons and firearms. Information on the exact number of detainees is not disclosed.

On Sunday, intelligence services of the IRGC (Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, an elite part of the Iranian Armed Forces) detained four people suspected of terrorism in the southeast of the Islamic Republic of Iran. They were also accused of plotting terrorist attacks inside the country, but their support from a foreign state was not mentioned.
