Six people killed, 46 injured in an explosion near Damascus

Six people were killed and 46 more were injured on Thursday in an explosion in a suburb south of Damascus, the Syrian capital. This was reported by local media.

The incident took place on al-Sudan Street in the suburb of al-Saida-Zaynab, where an explosive device mounted on a motorcycle next to a taxi was remotely detonated, state Syrian TV channel reported.

This is the second explosion in the area in the last 48 hours. On July 25, two people were injured when a motorcycle bomb detonated, the Syrian Monitoring Center for Human Rights said.
