Several foreigners, including US nationals, detained in Afghanistan

Several nationals of the US and other countries have been detained in Afghanistan for security reasons. This is reported by the Pajhwok Agency with reference to the official spokesman of the radical Taliban movement Zabiullah Mujahid.

According to him, the government will determine the measure of restraint as soon as the investigation is completed, and if the guilt of the detainees is not proven, they will be released.

The specific number of detainees is not disclosed. The Taliban spokesman indicated that some foreigners were arrested for security reasons.
