Zardari: Return of Taliban power in Afghanistan emboldened our terrorists

The return of the Taliban to power in Afghanistan has emboldened the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), which was involved in numerous attacks. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, reports Ariana News.

On the issue of international recognition of the Taliban government, Zardari said that Kabul should have taken into account the objections of the international community before hoping for recognition. He added that Pakistan's approach to Afghanistan was clear enough: "We have maintained active practical engagement with the interim government of Afghanistan, working in areas such as security, border control and markets, trade, health, education, transit trade and ... bilateral cooperation."

Zardari assured that Pakistan would continue to work towards bringing “peace, security and stability” to Afghanistan.
