Terrorist stripped of Azerbaijani citizenship illegally entered the country

A terrorist deprived of Azerbaijani citizenship, Kamran Zulfugarov, illegally entered the country. This was stated in the video shown on the air of Xəzər TV.

Information about the presence of a terrorist in Azerbaijan was verified by the State Security Service, and after establishing his whereabouts, Zulfugarov was detained. He was brought to justice for committing crimes outside the country, participation in the activities of illegal armed groups and other crimes covered in the articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan and arrested.

In the course of investigation, it turned out that Zulfugarov was trained in the ISIS special unit in Syria, participated in fighting there as part of a group led by Rovshan Badalov (nicknamed “Uncle Khalid”), which conducts reconnaissance and commits terrorist attacks. Collected evidence has shown that members of this group beheaded captives and committed other atrocities.

Zulfugarov left for Syria in 2013. Based on the materials collected by the State Security Service in 2018, by a court decision, he was deprived of Azerbaijani citizenship and the right to return to Azerbaijan.
