IIS militant hideout attacked in Iraq

The Iraqi Armed Forces launched an air strike on the hideout of militants of the Islamic State in Kirkuk province, the command of the Iraqi anti-terrorist operation said in a statement received by RIA Novosti.”

“Based on verified information from the Department of Defense Intelligence, in coordination with the Joint Operations Command, Air Force aircraft attacked an ISIS hideout using F-16 aircraft in the Zagitun Valley as part of operations in Kirkuk province,” the report says.

According to Iraqi security forces, this was the second strike on IS targets this week. On Tuesday, an Iraqi Air Force aircraft launched a successful airstrike in the Wadi al-Shai area as part of a counter-terrorism operation.
