A native of the Fergana region was financing terrorism

The identity of a person who was financing proscribed organizations has been established, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.

Together with the SSS officers, operative investigation was carried out which revealed that this native of the Fergana region, born in 1994, while in South Korea, established contact with the leaders of one of the foreign terrorist organizations and kept sending them financial assistance.

On this ground, a criminal case was opened against the person under the articles “Financing of terrorism” and “Establishment, leadership and participation in religious extremist, separatist, fundamentalist or other prohibited organizations”” of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
