Syrian troops repel militant attacks in the south of Idlib governorate

The units of the Syrian army are fighting fierce battles with militants that attack their positions in the south of Idlib governorate. According to the Al Mayadeen TV channel, the militants of the Ansar at-Tawhid brigade that are fighting on the side of Jabhat al-Nusra extremist group tried to break through the defense lines of government forces.

The enemy concentrated attacks on the front between the villages of El-Malaja and Khazarin, where on August 26, 13 Syrian soldiers were killed and more than 20 were injured while repelling terrorist attacks.

On September 3, terrorists tried to capture the settlements of Kfar Taal and Kfar Imma, and five Syrian servicemen were killed in repelling their attacks.
