French Interior Minister announced an increased threat of terrorist attacks
France faces the threat of terrorist attacks planned abroad, such as the attack on the Bataclan concert hall in Paris in November 2015, says the Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin.
“We are preventively protecting ourselves against a possible predictable threat that is emerging again,” the politician said on France 2 television channel.
According to Darmanin, the increased level of terrorist threat is due to the “less presence of Americans and French” in the Sahel, Levant and Afghanistan, who left there for “a variety of reasons.” The listed regions are currently demonstrating the growth of factors that may pose a threat. The French Minister noted that terrorist attacks can be quite large scale, such as the attack on the Bataclan concert hall in November 2015 in Paris.
Back then, on November 13, 2015, at the Bataclan concert hall in Paris, gunmen opened fire on the audience. When the special forces were storming the building, some terrorists blew themselves up. More than a hundred people died.
