In Dagestan, a woman sentenced to eight years in prison for financing terrorism

The press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Dagestan informed that the regional court sentenced a 32-year-old resident of Makhachkala to eight years in prison for financing terrorism.

“She was found guilty of committing a crime under Art. 205.1 of the Criminal Code of Russia (Financing of Terrorism),” the department reported on Telegram.

It was noted that in December 2021 and January 2022, the woman sentenced to the colony provided her money to support members of a terrorist organization banned in Russia.
