France and the European Union designate Hamas a terrorist organization

France and the European Union have designated Hamas a terrorist organization, TASS reports.

The decision was announced by French Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne. She emphasized that terrorism and violence cannot be justified under any circumstances.

Born also noted that France will not give a single euro to finance terrorists. The Head of Government expressed support for a long-term peace settlement in the Middle East, recognizing that this process requires time and effort.

She also stated that the national authorities will not allow manifestations of anti-Semitism either on the streets or online.
