Tyumen security forces detained a Surgut resident who financed terrorists

Surgut resident Nasrullo Nematzhanov was detained by Russian FSB officers in the Tyumen region of Russia. The man was accused of financing Katiba Tawhid wal-Jihad foreign terrorist organization which is banned in Russia.

A criminal case was initiated and investigated against the Surgut resident under the Article “Financing of Terrorism” of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. It was established that this person was transferring funds to a bank card used by members of the terrorist organization in order to help finance their logistics, the press service of the FSB of Russia for the Tyumen region reported.

By decision of the court, Nasullo Nematzhanov was sentenced to eight years in prison.
