Six terrorists and one serviceman killed in clashes in northwest Pakistan

At least six terrorists and one soldier were killed on Saturday in clashes between security forces and terrorists in North Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in northwestern Pakistan, the army reported.

Security forces carried out an intelligence-led operation in the Mir Ali part of North Waziristan district, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) (the media and public relations wing of the Pakistan Armed Forces) said on Saturday evening.

“During the operation, a heavy exchange of fire took place between the military and the terrorists and as a result six terrorists were eliminated and eight injured,” the ISPR said, adding that a 33-year-old serviceman was also killed in the fight.
