Islamic State claimed responsibility for an attack on a mosque in Afghanistan

Islamic State has claimed responsibility for an attack on a Shia mosque in Afghanistan.

This was reported by Reuters with reference to a statement by the terrorist group.

Earlier it was reported that seven people were killed and another 17 were injured as a result of an explosion in the Shia Imam Zaman mosque, located in the city of Puli Khumri which is the administrative center of Baghlan province. At the time of the attack, prayers gathered in the mosque for their Friday prayers.
