Three citizens who tried to join terrorists in Syria detained in Andijan, Uzbekistan
In the course of an operation carried out by law enforcement agencies, three who were planning to join terrorists in Syria citizens have been detained, press service of the State Security Service reported.
It is said that residents of the Altynkul district fell under the influence of certain persons going under the names of Abu Salah, Abu Walid and Ayub, who are militants that call on young people on social media to join terrorist groups and go to Syria.
In particular, A.U. was in contact with Abu Walid on Telegram, and under his guidance he created several channels and groups in the messenger to disseminate his narratives
Later he, together with fellow villager I.D., intended to join a terrorist organization operating in Syria. It is noted that I.D. in turn persuaded a close friend to join them.
These citizens, in order not to arouse suspicion, planned to reach the terrorists through a private company that helps with employment in Turkey, and from there to move to Syria.
Criminal cases have been launched against the detainees.
