Shia militia calls on the US to withdraw troops from Iraq

Iraqi Shia militia fighters have called on the United States to withdraw its troops from Iraq and other countries in the Middle East. This was reported by the AP agency.

According to the statement, US troops “must immediately leave” countries in the region, otherwise their bases will be attacked. “This is just a warning for them; serious activity has not yet begun,” they noted.

Without going into details, the Iraqi Shia armed forces indicated that if Israel launches a ground military operation in the Gaza Strip, it is necessary to “closely monitor the Jordan border.”

A US military base in Iraqi Kurdistan was attacked by two unmanned aerial vehicles on October 20. As Al Mayadeen TV channel reported, the Islamic Resistance of Iraq movement, which previously fought against Islamic State terrorists, claimed responsibility for the attack.

On October 19, a US and Western coalition military base in the Syrian border town of al-Tanf (250 km from Damascus) was attacked by drones. As a source in the US Central Command told the Qatari television station Al Jazeera, several American troops were slightly injured.
