Missiles hit a US air base in western Iraq

The airbase housing US military experts and agencies in western Iraq's Anbar province was shelled with missiles on Sunday. This was reported by a source in the Iraqi army.

The attack took place in the morning. An unspecified number of rockets hit Ain al-Asad airbase near the city of Al-Baghdadi, about 190 kilometers northwest of the capital Baghdad, an Iraqi army officer told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.

According to him, there have been no reports of casualties yet.
