More than 20 US troops injured in UAV attacks on Middle East bases
More than 20 US troops were wounded last week in drone attacks on US bases in Iraq and Syria. This was reported by NBC News with reference to the Central Command of the US Armed Forces.
According to them, 20 soldiers were wounded at the At-Tanf base in Syria, and four more people were injured at the Ain al-Assad base in Iraq. As the TV channel states, military facilities were not damaged by the attacks.
Earlier, US Department of Defense spokesman Patrick Ryder confirmed that US and coalition forces were attacked 10 times in Iraq and three times in Syria between October 17 and 24.
Earlier, Shia militia fighters demanded that the United States withdraw its troops from Iraq and other countries in the Middle East. The statement emphasized that “American troops must immediately leave the region, otherwise their bases will be constantly attacked.”
