Western intelligence warns of high threat of terrorist attacks around the world
Heads of Western intelligence services discussed the current situation in the world, in particular in the Middle East, and came to the conclusion that after the Hamas attack on Israel, the threat of terrorist attacks from Islamic groups has increased significantly throughout the world.
Intelligence officials from Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK and the US held a meeting organized by the FBI and stated that they were seeing an increase in threat reports but were now on increased alert due to tensions in the Middle East.
During the meeting, international intelligence officials noted that groups linked to al-Qaeda, the Islamic State and the Taliban, located around the world, are likely to try to demonstrate their capabilities and attract attention because they need people to talk about them. Viisibility helps them attract weapons, money and new recruits.
