Trial of the terrorists who planned the Lubyanka bombing began in Moscow
The Second Western District Military Court in Moscow began hearing a criminal case against six ISIS terrorists (the organization is designated as terrorist in the Russian Federation, and its activities are prohibited), who, according to the FSB, planned to blow up the building of the Federal Security Service on Lubyanka in 2022, TASS reports. According to the agency, the explosion of the FSB building was to be carried out directly by a suicide bomber, who will also be convicted.
Their main demand, which they planned to put forward after the suicide bomber detonated the explosive device in the building on Lubyanka, was the withdrawal of Russian troops fr om Syrian territory, the agency’s interlocutor noted.
Three judges are listening to the case materials; before the procedure, all defendants were given an indictment in Tajik for their information. The next meeting wh ere the state prosecution plans to announce an indictment has been scheduled for November 1.
