Car terrorist attack prevented in Germany

A 29-year-old man was detained in Duisburg on suspicion of planning a terrorist attack against participants in a pro-Israeli demonstration. Journalist Antonina Yamin reported this on the Keshet-12 TV channel.

According to the TV channel, the detainee previously served a prison sentence for participating in fighting in Syria as part of the Islamic State, where he was known under the nickname “Osama Germani.”

It is known that the information that led to the arrest of the terrorist suspect was received from foreign intelligence.

In recent days, the suspect wrote on social media that he wanted to die as a martyr. According to intelligence reports, he intended to ram a truck into a crowd during a demonstration in support of Israel in a city in North Rhine-Westphalia.
