Kata'ib Hezbollah attacks a US military base in Syria

The Shia group Kata'ib Hezbollah attacked a US military base in northeastern Syria, Al Mayadeen TV channel reported.


According to them, the attack took place on Thursday night targeting an American military base at the Abu Hajar airfield in Hasakah province. No other details were provided.


The day before, NBC News, citing the US Central Command, reported that more than 20 American troops were injured last week as a result of drone attacks on US bases in Iraq and Syria. According to the media, 20 soldiers were injured at the al-Tanf base in Syria, and four more people were injured at the Ain al-Assad base in Iraq. Earlier, US Department of Defense spokesman Patrick Ryder confirmed that US and coalition forces were attacked 10 times in Iraq and three times in Syria between October 17 and 24.
