The Taliban ask the UN to give them the seat of the Afghan representative in the Organization
Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid has asked for Afghanistan's UN seat to be transferred to the current Afghan government.
Mujahid said that refusal to transfer the place to the Islamic Emirate would be an insult to the people of Afghanistan, Tolonews reports.
“This organization has its own goals. And we follow a different path, which is independence, freedom and the Islamic system. Naturally, the UN’s path is different from ours, but a great injustice has been and will be committed against the people of Afghanistan if the seat of representative to the UN is not transferred to the people of Afghanistan and the government formed by the Taliban,” Mujahid noted.
After the fall of the previous government, the fate of Afghanistan's representative in the Organization remains unclear.
